Scholarships


The scholarships offered through the Mollohan Foundation vary on amounts, eligibility, criteria and application requirements. For details on a specific scholarship, please click on the link to the scholarship you are interested in below and read the details and application directions carefully before applying. Many scholarship recipients will be eligible for paid internship opportunities within their field of study, as well as college loans that can be partially or fully forgiven if the student decides to live and work in West Virginia after their college graduation. Please note all students must be attending a college, University, or post-high school degree program in the state of West Virginia in order to be eligible for our scholarships. Deadline for 2016 Scholarship Applications: 
All scholarship items must be emailed or postmarked by Monday, February 29, 2016 in order to be applicable for this scholarship season.

High Technology Scholars Program

The High Technology Scholars Program offers a $500 scholarship, in addition to internship and loan opportunities, to West Virginia high school seniors who plan on majoring in a technology-related field at a West Virginia University or college. The student applying must be from one of the following counties: Barbour, Brooke, Calhoun, Doddridge, Gilmer, Grant, Hancock, Harrison, Marion, Marshall, Mineral, Monongalia, Ohio, Pleasants, Preston, Ritchie, Taylor, Tucker, Tyler, Wetzel, or Wood. 

Dr. Roberto F. Cunanan, D.C. Memorial Scholarship

The Roberto F. Cunanan, D.C. Memorial Scholarship is a $1,000 scholarship offered to a senior from Bridgeport High School who planning to attend a college or University in West Virginia and excels both academically and athletically.

Mary Olive Eddy Jones Art Scholarship

The Mary Olive Eddy Jones Art Scholarship is a $1,000 scholarship offered to a sophomore or junior student in attendance at a college or University in West Virginia who is currently majoring in an art-related field. 

Martha Stuart Oden Scholarship

The Martha Stuart Oden Scholarship is a $1,000 scholarship offered to a senior from Greenbrier East High School who is planning to attend a college or post-high school degree program.

Helen Holt Mollohan Scholarship

The Helen Holt Mollohan Scholarship is a $1,000 scholarship offered to a West Virginia female who is currently attending, or a senior student who is planning to attend, Glenville State College.

Teaming to Win Business Scholarship

The Teaming to Win Business Scholarship is a $1,000 scholarship offered to a West Virginia college sophomore or junior pursuing a degree in a business-related field. The student must currently be a West Virginia resident. The student must also have a minimum 3.0 GPA, as well as demonstrated leadership material. 

John M. Murphy Scholarship

The John M. Murphy Scholarship is a $500 scholarship offered to a high school senior from Pendleton County who is planning to pursue a degree in any natural science-related field at any college or University in West Virginia.

Harry C. Hamm Family Scholarship

The Harry C. Hamm Family Scholarship is a $1,000 scholarship offered to a college sophomore, junior, or senior who is pursuing a degree in journalism or communications at any college or University in West Virginia. Applicants must be from one of the following counties: Brooke, Marshall, Ohio, or Hancock.

Carl R. Morris Memorial Scholarship

The Carl R. Morris Memorial Scholarship is a $1,000 scholarship offered to Calhoun County students who are committed to education and community, and currently attend, or are planning to attend, either Alderson-Broaddus College, Glenville State College or West Virginia University. The student must also have a minimum 3.0 GPA and demonstrate financial need.
